A flat advertising fee per qualified live call, set in advance, the same whether or not the caller hires the firm. Astra Partners is an advertising service, not a lawyer referral service. This page sets out how that holds in practice.

1The fee structure in plain words

The firm pays for advertising. It does not pay for a client, a case or a recommendation.

  • A flat fee per qualified live call, agreed in writing before the first call.
  • The same fee whether or not the caller hires the firm.
  • Never a fee per signed case. Never a share of a legal fee. Never tied to case value.
  • Prices differ only by the cost of the advertising and the depth of screening for a practice area and county.
  • The first 10 qualified calls are free: a fixed number for every firm, whatever happens on those calls.

2Advertising, not referral

We do not recommend, rank or endorse any lawyer. Callers are routed by neutral criteria that are disclosed to them: where they are, the type of case, and which firm is available. Campaigns run one of two ways, chosen with each firm:

  • In the firm’s name. We run the ads as the firm’s marketing vendor, with its name and number. The firm approves the ads, and they carry the attorney-advertising label its state requires.
  • Under our consumer brand. The ads and the call tell the caller that participating law firms pay for the service, that we don’t recommend any lawyer, and how matching works.

Before we go live in a state, we confirm its advertising and lead-generation rules. Where a state requires it, campaigns run only in the firm’s own name.

3The billable-call standard and the credit rule

A call is billable only when all six hold, judged on the recording:

  1. The caller dialed in and consented to the transfer and the recording.
  2. The caller is in a state and county the firm serves.
  3. The incident is within the statute of limitations and the caller reports an injury.
  4. The caller has no lawyer for this matter.
  5. The transferred call connected for at least the agreed minimum length.
  6. It is not a duplicate of a call already delivered to the firm within the agreed window.

Fail one, and the call is credited, decided on the recording within one working day. Never credited because the caller didn’t sign: that would turn the fee back into a fee per case. Details in Credits and refunds.

5TCPA, CCPA/CPRA and Do Not Sell or Share

  • No purchased lists, no autodialed or prerecorded calls to consumers.
  • Where a form collects a phone number, consent language sits beside the submit button, and we store the consent text, time, IP address and page with the record.
  • No advertising aimed at a specific, known incident within 30 days of it, in line with the solicitation timing rules of states such as New York and Florida.
  • A privacy notice that names every service provider, a Do Not Sell or Share link, and Global Privacy Control honored. See the Privacy policy.
  • Every automated email complies with CAN-SPAM.

6What we never do

  • Charge per signed case, or take any part of a fee.
  • Recommend, rank or endorse a lawyer to a caller.
  • Give legal advice or value a case.
  • Cold-call, text or message accident victims, or buy lists.
  • Send one caller to more than one firm, or resell a call.
  • Publish a performance claim we can’t substantiate.

7Contract summary

  • The firm controls every legal decision, including which cases it takes.
  • No sharing of legal fees, in any form.
  • Compliance warranties both ways: the firm for its professional-conduct and advertising rules, us for our advertising, calls and data handling.
  • Mutual indemnity for each party’s own breach.
  • Either party may end the agreement at once if a change in law or rules makes the arrangement improper in a state.
  • Recordings kept for audit, and available to the firm and its counsel on request.

The full terms are in our Terms of service and the firm’s signed agreement. We send the agreement to a firm’s counsel before anything is signed.
